About our organization: Applied Behavioral Counseling provides home based ABA (applied behavioral analysis) therapy to children with autism.
DESCRIPTION of the position: The Intake Department Coordinator works directly with families and their participating insurance companies to ensure coverage is obtained in order to provide ABA services to the person in need.
SCHEDULE: 40 hour work week; Monday - Friday 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Job:
- Coordinate paperwork completion with families
- Benefit checks
- Review and knowledge of all insurance company policy and requirements (INN, OON and SCA)
- Timely submissions of documentation and files to the participating insurance carriers
- Documenting work notes in database system for all communications and correspondences
- Consistent and efficient communication with parents, insurance companies and doctors offices
- Attend training sessions and provide further training for onboarded employees, if needed
- Uploading of billing files and co-pay outreach
- General knowledge of billing issues, denials, appeals and insurance requirements and coverage
- Organization of work tasks to meet deadlines
Must have a minimum of 1 full year of insurance or medical office administration and preferable experience with ABA services in some capacity. Must have proven technology skills as described above, as well as customer service/professional phone manner.

Salary: $38,000 per year- $40,000 per year
