Summary:
Serves as front line member of a team responsible for performing maintenance activities for the golf course.
Primary area of emphasis is the irrigation to the golf course property. At times, this position may also be
assigned to grounds, roadsides, landscaping, facilities, and equipment. Responsibilities:
Operates and repairs irrigation systems including clocks, valves and infrastructure.
Waters in chemicals or fertilizers after application.
Operates diagnostic test equipment for irrigation system repairs.
Hand waters greens and tees.
Can use walking and riding greens mower, tee mower, fairway mower, rough mower, roller, bunker
rake, carts, push mowers, and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools to maintain golf
course grounds and landscaping. Cleans and maintains equipment that is used. Treats all equipment
with care and respect. Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Can set cups and move tee markers.
Performs light custodial operations on golf course grounds and buildings, i.e. cleaning and stocking rest
rooms, sweeping stones from paths, trash collection, mopping floors, etc. Uses mops and brooms.

Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications:
Knowledge of game of golf is helpful.
Proven leadership qualities.
Ability to communicate in written and oral forms.
Ability to work independently and in team setting.
Ability to interact well with others in a professional manner, i.e. training and leadership
Ability to operate a variety of small equipment and hand tools in safe manner.
Ability to adjust and learn new equipment and procedures.
Physical Demands:
The work is typically performed while sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching,
or stooping. The employee must frequently lift light and heavy objects, use
tools and equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and distinguish
between shades of color.
Medium to Heavy work; routinely lifting up to 50lbs and occasionally lifting
100 lbs.
Work Environment:
The work is performed outside, where the employee is exposed to noise, dirt, machinery with moving
parts, irritating chemicals and inclement weather.
