The IT Program Manager is responsible for the overall IT program management to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within budget in accordance with the requirements and statements of work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful cost, schedule, and performance of the contract
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR, the Government Program Manager and the Contractor’s senior management
- Directly contribute to program efforts in several areas, including cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities
- Ensure proper performance of tasks necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the contract
- Utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents
- Serve as interface with customers, vendors, stakeholders and project sponsor(s).
- Review project schedules with functional project managers and project coordinators allocated to projects
- Collaborates with customer from requirements gathering through product acceptance.
- Align the program team to customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives based on input from all functional areas and stakeholders within the enterprise project.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal or customer specific.
Devise creative solutions to critical customer needs
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in related field required
Licenses & Certifications:
- Active ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or comparable certification
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or an equivalent/ higher certification
- Active TS/SCI clearance
Experience:
- Seven (7) continuous years of Program Management experience in Security Operations or equivalent area
Skills & Abilities:
- Fluent knowledge of Agile development and management methodologies
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires minimum guidance
- Ability to work independently or Team environment
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to research, analyze and recommend best practices.
- Comfortable leading discussions with IT Managers and Customer
