Essential Skills:
Command Line – LINUX/UNIX
Database experience
Qualifications:
- Experience using Unix/Linux from command line.
- Unix scripting experience (ksh, bash, Perl, python)
- Support Experience / Customer Service Skills
- Understanding of and experience troubleshooting data issues in databases (Progress preferred)
- Experience supporting QA Environments
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to self-start and work independently, while still keeping the team updated.
- High attention to detail.
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.
- Experience with ticketing software (ServiceNOW, FootPrints) +
- Progress 4GL experience. +
Responsibilities:
- Maintain multiple QA environments that are multi-system and multi-interface.
- Monitor support ticket queue and investigate/resolve issues
- Pull data, load data, and remove data based on project needs while meeting IT Security requirements
- Trouble shoot and resolve environment issues that arise – working with team members – and members of other IT Teams.
- Triage software vs. environment issues vs. data issues.
- Maintenance tasks as required/requested.
- Scripting as needed to improve processes.
Education & Licensing: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

- Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of senior leadership team
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong oral, written, and business communication skills, including telephone support
- Keen understanding of enterprise technology: PCs, mobile devices, telephony, networking, client/server, and enterprise applications (OS, productivity tools, video conferencing, Lync)
- Analytical, interpretive, and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle stress and act with sense of urgency
- Aptitude and interest in learn new technologies
- Ability to work as part of a team and share knowledge
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
- Willing and able to work on-call rotation and travel as required (up to 50% travel)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40.00 - $41.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
