Job Description

Jenkinson’s South is part of Jenkinson's Boardwalk, a mile-long boardwalk amusement facility consisting of batting cages, food vendors, 2 mini-golf courses, an amusement park with 25+ rides, 3 arcades, beach, aquarium, 7d dark ride theater, ropes course and more.

We are seeking out an electronics, technical, and computer-focused individual to assist the current IT Director.

(We also welcome experienced candidate and will adjust pay according to experience.)

Responsibilities:

• Running cable. (Includes remote places under buildings and boardwalk)

• Terminating Cat 5/6 cable ( previous experience preferred but not required)
• Installing, diagnosing, and maintaining 50 + pos computers
• Maintenance of a cashless debit card system with 500+ Swipe Readers
• Installing and wiring Debit readers on new arcade machines or outdoor attractions. Programming them properly. Diagnosing issues. Fixing or replacing defective units. Daily testing.
• Maintaining Audio systems
• Maintaining Digital signage
• Installing and configuring CCTV security camera systems

Other responsibilities you could be assisting with include :

• Project management
• Maintaining and troubleshooting a 600+ user network
• 40+ user VoIP system

• E-commerce web store
• Light web design (Wordpress)

In a nutshell, when anything that a circuit board or plugs into the wall breaks, we are called to fix it.

Description:

• This is a very fast-paced, yet fun environment working at a boardwalk beach amusement resort.
• Each day is different.
• The business is seasonal, and the busiest times are nights and weekends.
• Perfect for college student, anyone with IT, or cable installing experience.

Requirements:

• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Willingness to learn ( take notes, retain information)
• Basic Troubleshooting Microsoft Operating Systems
• Basic knowledge of networking and components. (The more you know the better)
• Previous technology or computer hardware repair training
• Friendly attitude and disposition (Our job is not just to fix the machines but also to support the management team who depend on them)
• Reliability
• Physically able to bend, crawl, and climb as some areas require us to do so
• Be available nights, weekends, and holidays

Not required but a plus

• Html or Java
• Web design
• Linux
• Advanced networking knowledge
• Previous experience in any of the following job categories:

Electronics Technician

Information Technology

Customer support/ service

Tech support

Previous experience working in an amusement park or arcade

Cable / internet / fiber/ installer

Security system installer

Basic required knowledge

What is DNS?

What is DHCP?

Salary: From $15.00 per hour
