Kitchen Cook

We are looking for cooks that are like-minded individuals to help feed more dogs and cats JustFoodForDogs. Our best kitchen teams combine kitchen experience with a passion for food AND for dogs and cats! This position reports to the Kitchen Leads and General Manager of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Cooks: Responsible for preparing and cooking human grade pet food in small batches to ensure the highest safety and quality
- Packagers: Ensure packages are accurately labeled, weighed and sealed; operate and maintain sealers to highest standards; fulfill requested quantities and transfer to freezer; accurately count finished goods and report totals to supervisors
- Rovers: Prepare production and transfer documents, label, case and move finished product, process supply deliveries, wash dishes and maintain restrooms
- Expect cross training, cleaning
- Clean up station during and at end of shift
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Qualifications
- Kitchen experience
- Attention to detail; ability to conduct repetitive tasks with quality
- General understanding of basic kitchen functions, various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
