Position Summary:
The primary purpose of the Imaging Assistant position is to assist the technologists with their procedures, transporting patients, and cleaning & stocking rooms with supplies & linens.

Responsibilities:
Performs various clerical, and receptionist duties such as answering phones and coordinating workflow for the department of Imaging Services
Performs a variety of tasks using certain degrees of creativity and latitude
Reports to department Imaging Supervisor
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
1 year of customer service experience required
Knowledge of Laws or regulations regarding Privacy Act and Confidentiality
Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology preferred
BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or Kootenai Health BLS within 60 days of hire

Working Conditions:
Must be able to maintain a standing position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
Must be able to assist in patient transfer
Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc.
Possible hazardous exposure to electrical shock and/or mechanical injury
