This position is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining DMV’s website, dmvNOW.com, along with the agency’s Intranet. Daily duties include graphic design and UX/UI styling, maintenance and updates, SEO management, and maintaining existing applications.
Additionally, the incumbent in this position will be responsible for developing new features for dmvNOW.com and the intranet and will help to ensure that the site complies overall with SEO best practices and ADA and WCAG guidelines by making adjustments to the CSS, layout and graphics as needed. The incumbent in this position will also assist with troubleshooting customer issues and general production issues on both dmvNOW.com and the intranet.
This is an advanced technical position responsible for designing and implementing websites and applications for a wide range of mobile and web enabled devices including elements of advanced graphical design and programming techniques in support of the DMV Digital Services group and key agency eCommerce goals.

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with and a broad foundation of knowledge in modern web based technologies.
- Considerable experience with modern graphical and web design techniques and tools including experience with multimedia formats.
- Considerable experience with UX/UI principles and techniques.
- Extensive experience designing and maintaining web pages and applications using different web development tools and languages as required such as HTML/XHTML/HTML5, ASP, .Net, Javascript. JSON, JQuery, CSS/CSS3, XML and web services.
- Extensive experience in creating design prototypes, including mock ups, graphic designs, site navigation, and layout of content.
- Extensive experience designing websites and applications utilizing content management tools, relational databases (SQL Server or Oracle), graphic design, SEO, ADA and usability techniques.
- Knowledge of web-based development security policies and practices.
- Experience with Apple and Android apps to maintain agency apps
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with content management tools (CMS)
- Experience migrating a large website to a CMS
- Experience migrating content from one CMS to another
