Overview:Objective:
To assist with the review of Section 301 Tariffs, public comments, and exclusion requests. This work could include tasks such as legal and factual research, analyzing and summarizing documents, drafting summary materials, preparing documents for filings, checking citations and facts, preparing documentary evidence for presentation.
Responsibilities:The following tasks shall also be performed by the Legal Analysts (subject matter and tasking may change frequently, including multiple times per day):

• Conduct electronic and manual research for identified subject matter.
• Draft memoranda summarizing and/or analyzing research results.
• Review documents for identified subject matter.
• Occasional translation of research results into English.
• Scan and file images of documents as appropriate.
• Assist in creation and updating of tracking logs.
• Review, summarization, and preparation of documents.
• Assist in various litigations.

Qualifications:Language Skills:

• Mandarin
• A language assessment will be administered as a final portion of the interview process. Candidates will be asked to translate a PDF in the target language, and answer comprehension questions at the end of the document.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree

Location:

• USTR Office – 1724 F Street, NW and 1800 G Street NW, Washington, DC
• This position offers remote flexibility 3 days per week.
