Part-Time Library Circulation Associate

The Cook Park Memorial Public Library District is seeking upbeat, amiable individuals with great customer service skills and flexible schedules to join the Circulation Department. These permanent year-round positions have shifts at both Aspen Drive and Cook Park Libraries. Multilingual ability welcome. Cook Memorial Public Library District serves over 60,000 residents from two full-service locations: Aspen Drive Library in Vernon Hills and Cook Park Library in Libertyville. Duties and Responsibilities:

· Check materials in and out to library patrons

· Take payment for purchases and lost/damaged materials

· Register library cards

· Process reserved materials

Requirements:

• Strong people skills
• Proficient with computers
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
• High School Diploma/GED
• Some standing to assist patrons
• Strength to move library materials, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach shelves of various heights
• Reliable, flexible, and willing to fill in additional hours when needed
• Able to work at both Library facilities

Salary and Benefits:
$14.75 per hour, 457 savings plan, paid sick leave and holidays, paid parental leave, premium pay on Sundays. Cost of living and merit increases.
