Seaside Outpatient Services - Metairie is looking for a Full-Time therapist to do group therapy with our patients. We are also looking for PRN Therapists.

Job Descriptio n
- Communicates and maintains good relations with referral sources about patient care. Notifies team members of pending problems/issues.
- Assists with intake and assessments, orients patients/families to program policies as needed, and completes admit/discharge outcome assessments.
- Provides reality-based, process-oriented and/or validation groups for patients.
- From the time of admission, he/she is responsible for discharge planning and aftercare plan including assisting with placement options for the patient. Maintains good rapport with referral sources and reports issues/problems to supervisor immediately.
- Documents as required by policy and procedures; participates in treatment plans; completes social histories within established time frames. Documents patient/family events as they occur, patient group participation and patient progress per discipline’s treatment goals, no less than four times a week.
- Respects patient’s rights/patient’s privacy; maintains confidentiality, maintains appropriate boundaries, and follows all hospital/corporate ethical behavior as well as conflict of interest standards. Resolves patient complaints immediately, if possible, and reports complaint and outcome to Clinical Manager and patient satisfaction representative.
- Facilitates communication, keeps all team members aware of patient care/treatment issues, attends daily report providing necessary input. Is courteous to patients/families/visitors.
- Assist with direct patient care as situation requires, reports care/safety issues to nursing, and attends staffing/daily report providing information.
Requirements
Education/Experience for Master Level Therapist: Master’s degree from an accredited school. Eligible to be licensed in the State of Louisiana. Experience with acute inpatient psychiatric treatment and/or Partial Hospital Program and outpatient care preferred. Current CPR certificate.
