Job description

Kanak Exports designs, fabricates, and assembles furniture such as laminate counter tops, cabinets, furniture, doors, drawers, hardware, etc. to meet our customers needs and specifications. We are currently hiring for dependable, self-motivated, furniture assemblers at our Fort Wayne facility. Previous experience is a plus, but not necessary. We will train selected individuals for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to read and understand directions/instructions on how to assemble various types of furniture and fittings
• Work in a team centered environment where everyone works closely together to get the work done.
• Must be able to take initiative and see where help is needed and assist as needed.
• Must be able to work with little to no supervision.
• Must be comfortable working with power tools (previous experience is a plus but not necessary).
• Must be willing to cross train in all aspects of assembly.
• Fits and assembles components.
• Must work in a fast pace yet produce quality work for our customers.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must have a sense of urgency and willingness to go above and beyond to meet production goals.
• Must work safely at all times and report unsafe acts or situations to management.

This is a day-shift, Monday thru Friday position. We are near to the bus line and located in the city of Fort Wayne. No driving a long distance to work every day - SAVE GAS!!!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.01 per hour
