The Tavern at Diamond Mills is the Hudson Valley's premier dining and special events destination. Located in the Village of Saugerties, The Tavern at Diamond Mills offers handcrafted contemporary American cuisine in a picturesque setting above the Esopus Falls. In addition to The Tavern, the elegant Grand Ballroom at Diamond Mills can accommodate weddings, corporate retreats, conferences and banquets for up to 450 seated guests.

We are seeking a creative, flexible, and high energy Line Cook for our busy, fast-paced kitchen!

Interested candidates should meet the following qualifications and requirements:

- Experience in food preparation at a full-meal service restaurant

- Culinary degree preferred

- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques for large, catered functions

- Knowledge of health department rules and sanitation regulations

- Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

- Excellent organization and communication skills

- Ability to learn and describe menu items, in English, and answer questions regarding menu and preparation

- Ability to carry out assignments and work well with other staff

- Bi-lingual a plus! (English/Spanish)

- Ability to safely and quickly traverse staircase while carrying a loaded tray, heavy (50 lbs.) equipment and food

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Preparing orders in an efficient, timely, pleasant, and professional manner

- Properly preparing Mise en Place according to Chef and Sous Chef instruction

- Replenishing supplies and reset as necessary

- Following service rules and direction given by supervisors

- Anticipating and meeting all guest needs

- Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude on and off the property

- Cooperating with and assisting all support personnel to assure the best possible service

- Being responsible for proper use of and care for equipment and supplies
