Being a part of the Johnny’s BBQ team isn't just another job! It's a rare opportunity to own a small share of an established, successful restaurant as an Employee Owner. We are looking for a dedicated, organized line cook who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a line cook, you will prepare top-notch food according to provided recipes. You will help keep the kitchen/line running smoothly, restocking items, unloading delivery trucks, preparing cook stations, and cleaning appliances and machines. Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparing simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
• Plating prepared foods based on kitchen guidelines.
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts.
• Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment in compliance with all food safety regulations and procedures, to include wiping down counters, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning restrooms.
• Assisting other team members as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.
• Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.
• Previous experience as a line cook is preferred, but not required.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts.
• Serve Safe certification a plus!
