Annual Salary $45,136 + 2.50 shift diff evenings, weekends, and overnight

Rotating Schedule:

• Wk1 Sun 7a - 3p and Tue, Wed, Thurs, Fri 3p - 11p
• Wk2 Mon 7a - 3p and Tue, Wed, Thur, Sat 3p - 11p

Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.

The Psychiatric Care LPN assists the staff physcian in the prescription, administration and monitoring of client medications; performs routine physical and mental health nursing assessments and provides supportive counseling. Monitors the medical needs of clients and administers methadone to clients. Prepares related documents and records. Incumbent may administer drug testing, T.B. testing and other medical screening.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited LPN school of nursing with one year of experience in the administration of medication or in a substance abuse treatment, psychiatric setting, or long-term care facility including the dispensing of narcotic medication.

Current Licensed Practical Nurse license from the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
