Job description

Armstrong is looking for LTL Carrier Sales Representatives to join our team! You must have a current book of business and have at least 1 year of LTL experience.

As an Armstrong Carrier Sales Rep, you will:

· Build loads in our proprietary Transportation Management System

· Set up carriers to join our network

· Update Account Managers with critical information

· Update active load information into systems for shipper and carrier tracking

· Call carriers to inquire about lanes, equipment types, and volume

· Negotiate rates with carriers

· Answer phones and distribute calls to the appropriate broker

· Match documents to files

· Issue Com-checks and fuel advances as needed

· Support basic accounting functions as needed

· Deliver exceptional customer service, the Armstrong way

· Uphold the Armstrong standard by following the company principles of Customer, Company, and Office

Skills and Experience

· Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who excels in a fast-paced environment

· Excellent and effective communication skills

· Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic

· Learn and maintain an understanding of the freight market rates and seasonality

· Ability to quickly process information and make decisions

· Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
