About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Fashion Buyer (onsite/in-person at location) to join our Selling Studio team at our Palo Alto, CA location. As a Buyer, you will be trained to evaluate and appraise luxury pre-owned goods (Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, etc.) one-on-one from clients. Responsibilities include:

• Research brand, style, and resale value of pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories
• Assess demand and analyze internal and external sales data to provide accurate and timely quotes to in-person and online customers
• Review items in person, including the condition and brand-specific information
• Develop personal strategies for research methods, focusing on efficiency and accuracy
• Present and communicate quotes to showroom clients in an efficient, professional and customer-oriented manner
• Assist customers with purchases, layaways, refunds and general customer service inquiries
• Accurately create and distribute checks and other payment methods as needed
• Participate in cross-training and be flexible to perform varying roles whenever necessary to operate and run the showroom

What We're Looking For:

• Prior experience working with high-end luxury handbags, accessories and textiles a plus
• Customer service expertise with a commitment to best-in-class client experience.
• Able to navigate the internet and use search functions
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Must have integrity and consistently exhibit strong work ethics
• Extreme attention to detail
• Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative environment
• Demonstrate willingness to be proactive and remain productive as workflow expands or is reduced
• Proficient in basic word processing skills
• Simple math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Pay Rate: This position begins at $23/HR for all New Hires into FASHIONPHILE's Palo Alto location. Every Employee will have the opportunity for continued promotional opportunities via our Benchmarking Program which offers Title and Pay changes as you grow with the company.
