Job Purpose*: Under the general supervision of the EH&S Director / Facilities Engineer Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of skilled and semiskilled work in the maintenance, construction, and repair of Sonoma County Indian Health Project, Inc. (SCIHP) buildings and equipment. Experienced with use of hand tools and power tools, basic electrical inspection and electrical test equipment and tools. Assists in performing minor electrical repairs to systems including, but not limited to, ballasts, switches, lamps, and receptacles. Experience in basic plumbing. Repairs drywall and T-bar ceilings. Performs painting on interior and exterior surfaces including walls, doors, stair rails, etc. Repairs, moves, assembles, installs, and sets up heavy equipment and office furniture, tables, chairs, etc. The Maintenance Technician will work collaboratively with the Environmental Health & Safety team to carry out the maintenance needs of SCIHP.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Two (2) Years of Maintenance experience.
- Journey Level Experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and or Carpentry is preferred.
- Ability to read diagrams, and operating and maintenance instructions
- Must maintain a valid, unrestricted California Driver’s license and ability to be insurable under SCIHP’s automobile insurance meeting insurance requirements regarding driver record to utilize GSA vehicles.
- Possess current CPR certification.
- Effective Customer Services skills preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation.
- MUST have proof of completed COVID vaccination.
