Job description
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain the facility grounds and maintain buildings (interior & exterior) in a clean, safe and efficient operating condition;
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of supplies, donated items and a tool control system;
- Assist Director to maintain, schedule and supervise clients assigned to perform duties associated with the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and grounds;
- Respond to routine emergencies and make normal repairs;
- Define problems and provide written bids and assessments for anything that must be repaired or replaced to Program Director or designee;
- Respond to work orders on a daily basis and maintain records of completed tasks;
- Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and Perform all other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience in general semi-skilled maintenance and repair work, or as a building maintenance or construction trades worker.
- Experience working with individuals and groups in a confined setting is preferred.
- Must possess knowledge of common methods, practices and materials used in maintenance and repair work of buildings and building facilities.
- Must be familiar with the various tools used in building maintenance and repair work and their proper employment and care.
- Possession of a valid FL Class C Drivers License.
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test; and
- Must be able to qualify for WestCare vehicle insurance.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
