POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the plant equipment is maintained and operating efficiently. S/he will be hands-on assisting with installs and issues. S/he will be expected to run a quality maintenance team by exhibiting strong leadership abilities, setting expectations and ensuring consistent communication.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise maintenance department personnel
- Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
- Assign work orders to Maintenance Technicians and ensure work is completed in a thorough and timely manner.
- Generate maintenance KPI data and communicate performance to objectives to the maintenance team
- Manage the repair parts inventory.
- Create work orders and PM’s.
- Install new equipment.
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment.
- Recognize and take steps to resolve operating problems in order to minimize their impact on the operations.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records (i.e. timecards, downtime records, absentee records, etc.)
- Increase the department’s knowledge, skills and abilities through TPC training and other resources.
- Encourage suggestions from employees which will improve production, quality, safety and/or control costs of production.
- Keep manager informed on operating and/or employee problems which may require their attention or knowledge.
- Cooperate with all departments to assure a coordinated work relationship exists at all times.
- Serve as an active member of Organizational Teams and Committees.
- This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
