Summary: The Mammography Tech assists in performing mammography exams properly as directed and in accordance with established standards and protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to:

3d tomo Imaging

Performs breast imaging studies, utilizing appropriate positioning techniques and protocols.

Performs quality control on equipment and adheres to all regulatory guidelines.

Communicates pre/post procedure education to the patient/family.

Interacts with the Imaging Physician to relay history and receive instructions.

Interviews patient and reviews charts/orders to obtain clinical history; retrieves prior films.

Assists the Imaging Physician as needed.

Performs venipuncture as necessary.

Completes contrast history form prior to the injection of contrast media.

Accurately processes requisitions and additional computer data.

Accurately charges for exams and supplies.

Ensures that all patient archive material is labeled correctly (i.e., name/position/orientation,etc.).

Participates in collection, analysis, and reporting of performance improvement activities.

Safely maintains equipment, and promptly documents and informs in a cost effective manner.

Assists with ordering supplies and maintaining inventory in a cost effective manner.

Assists in the transport of patients to and from the department as needed.

Maintains and ensures patient safety and confidentiality.

Performs other duties as required.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Patient Data Base.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Drivers License

CPR/First Aid preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
