NOV MATERIAL HANDLER

The Material Handler is responsible for NOV Hydra Rig’s data entry, parts pulls, stocking, and cycle count activities when assigned. Based in Fort Worth, this position will report to the Material Handler Crew Chief and will work with other members of the warehouse. The Material Handler II will also be able to do other warehouse duties/tasks as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pulls jobs, packages, stages, loads, data entry into the system and delivers materials to routed work center.
  • Stocks warehouse parts and accurately completes cycle counts inventory as assigned.
  • Achieve one day job delivery and same day parts request measurement standard established by the Inventory Manager
  • Works with Shipping and Receiving to ensure prompt processing and movement of all parts to the next operation or shipment.
  • Expedites incoming materials and parts requests to designated work center.
  • Process job returns with documentation, inspects, labels and restocks materials.
  • Maintain compliance of material handler records with work instructions including accuracy and documentation requirements.
  • Check the offloading delivery, packing list and MTR for RAW HOSE Warehouse deliveries.
  • Acquire and maintain Operation System knowledge pertaining to Material Handling function.
  • Direct all Warehousing, Inventory data base and cycle counting problems to your Crew Chief on a timely basis.
  • Take ownership, organize and maintain personal, company equipment and work area in a professional manner and attend scheduled HSE training.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required, achieves and maintains fork truck operator certification and use safe working practices as directed.
  • Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes and HSE requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High School graduate or GED preferred.
  • Must be skilled in using computers including being proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Warehousing practices.
  • Must be able to read and work with production routers.
  • Must be capable of working in a non-air conditioned warehouse environment with PPE.
  • Must be capable of operating company fork trucks and capable of achieving and maintaining certification for such equipment.
  • Maintain applicable vehicle operator licenses as necessary to operate company equipment.
