Job Summary:

Operates forklift trucks in the loading and unloading and moving of various parts, equipment, materials and supplies.

Performs tasks involved in the company’s coating process to meet customer requirements.

Accepts deliveries and Freight Pickups

Acts as a back-up supervisor for 1st of 2nd shift as needed.

Takes physical inventory of material

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Reads routing and performs work as assigned by supervisor and the production schedule.

1.1. Moves parts around the shop including racking, hooking or wiring parts.

1.2. Anticipates material and racking needs of shop floor and material/racking to optimize production flow.

1.3. Produces quality products

1.4. Meets production goals

1.5. Tracks work and time on computer system including using a scanner.

1.6. Conducts Basic equipment repair and maintenance.

1.7. Spray Coating Parts

2. Operates forklift trucks in the loading and unloading and moving of various parts, equipment, materials and supplies.

3. Backup supervisor to cover 1st or 2nd shift as required.

4. Manage Inventory.

4.1. Check in and document deliveries

4.2. Conduct Monthly physical inventory

4.3. Place orders for shop supplies and tooling as required

4.4. Monitor shelf life of materials

5. Contributes to a safe, organized and efficient work environment

5.1. Complies with Health and Safety policies, systems and processes

5.2. Maintains a clean and safe work environment

5.3. Completes work in an efficient manner

5.4. Attendance and punctuality

6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and skills:

Required:

· Basic Computer skills

· Ability to work in an industrial environment with proper Personal Protective Equipment including a respirator.

· Basic Mathematical Skills

· Ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate

· Ability to use initiative and work well in a team.

· Regular Attendance

Preferred:

· ERP software experience

· Grit Blasting experience

· 2-5 Years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

· 1-2 Years Production Management Experience

· Coating application Experience

· Blueprint reading skills

· Knowledge of tools and machinery used in coating processes e.g. gritblasting, masking, powder coating, liquid spray

· Packing experience

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Location: 95% Shop floor, 5% office

While on the shop floor, there is intermittent exposure to noise, grease, dust, oil, grime and chemicals. There is frequent exposure to seasonal temperature extremes. Work around moving equipment requires caution as well as use of safety apparel.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust.

Work requires frequent use of large motor skills, standing for long periods, use of hands to finger, handle or feel and frequent walking, crawling, kneeling, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, crouching, stretching and reaching to perform work required.
