General Summary:
This position is with the ES3 Materials & Process Team and offers an opportunity to be at the forefront of installing and maintaining proprietary systems to support and enhance cutting edge aerospace development. In working with talented and dedicated technicians, engineers and program leads, the Materials Engineering Technician will apply proven methodologies and processes in a variety of technical functions.
Daily accomplishment of program goals will be fulfilled with the demonstrated skillsets with your experience and background: welding, fabrication, on-site demolition, on-site installation, component assembly electroplating, test set up test execution, test monitoring, and other duties as needed and tasked.
With the ability to read detailed drawings for component and system level designs, this multi-faceted position requires technical hand-on skills where problem solving skills and working well in a team-oriented environment will make you thrive.

Candidate Skills & Capabilities:
- Read and understand technical drawings
- Proficient in use of hand tools
- Knowledge of use of power tools Metal and/or Plastic
- Welding
- Problem Solving Skills
- Technical Writing
- Data Interpretation Finishing Processes
- Electroplating a plus
- Paint Booth Experience
Education & Experience Required:
- High School Diploma
- Applied Technology Training a plus
- 10 – 15 years experience in machine shop or related work environment
Other Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship or Authorization to work in the United States is required
- As a condition of employment, candidates may or may not be required to participate in a background investigation and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance for access to government facilities.
- Ability to travel 20% as needed
