We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Hanover Park, IL team. You will lead VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) projects for our Commercial Filtration Solutions division. This role is responsible to Discover, develop and deploy VAVE projects for manufacture and will give you the opportunity to work with a variety of components.
You will:
- Lead product redesign to enhance product features and obtain cost-reduction of existing products
- Lead supplier change projects. Create and execute DVP&R to ensure all required validation is conducted with supplier changes.
- Work closely with supply chain to ensure seamless transition of suppliers in VAVE projects
- Lead and participate on a cross functional team to create enhanced designs and ensuring the manufacturability of said designs.
- Interface with Product Management, R&D, Engineering, Test Lab, Quality, and Operations to ensure timely production implementation of projects.
- Work closely with operations team, including offshore manufacturing partners as needed, to bring products to launch.
- Be responsible to lead Engineering projects from concept through production.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
- 5+ years of professional experience in Engineering, VAVE, New Product Development, and/or Sustaining Engineering
- Have exceptional mechanical aptitude and basic working knowledge of various hand tools and installation devices.
- Have experience with managing project timelines.
