As a Medical Assistant, you will perform various patient care services and responsible for coordinating an exceptional patient experience. , trust, and drive organizational loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients, treatment rooms, and supplies for visit or examination of patients.
• Collects and documents vital signs, histories, and screenings and inputs information to patients' medical record.
• Provides instruction to the patient regarding medications.
• Authorizes prescription refills as directed.
• Cleans and maintains treatment rooms, medical instruments, and equipment.
• Performs quality controls and equipment checks.
• Collects, labels and delivers/mails specimens to the laboratory.
• Assist physicians during medical examinations and procedures.
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
• Performs front-office tasks as necessary and according to the eastablished procedures.
• Performs referral coordination, tracking and maintaining excellent relationships with other offices

Skills

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred
• High School Diploma/Equivalency required
• Experience in pain management or rehab
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Knowledge of PrognoCIS EMR, and MS Office preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
