Intro > We are looking for one or two experienced and motivated medical billers to work from home with flexible hours. This person(s) must be able to work remotely with limited oversight. We're a new-aged employer that prides ourselves on treating our employees with respect and trust, demonstrated by allowing employees to work the hours that suit them, encouraging employees to take time off, offering profit sharing, and various other benefits.

Duties > The Billing Specialist is responsible for billing and payment functions for a subset of Solvent Practice Solutions clients, including submitting all claims, posting payments, calling patients and sending invoices, submitting provider disputes, assisting with enrollments, interacting with agency owners and providers, and other necessary billing functions that arise. The ideal candidate is able to stay organized while juggling multiple tasks, must be able to learn and adapt quickly, knows how to investigate insurance issues, communicates clearly both verbally and in writing, and takes the initiative to get work done as best as possible with limited oversight.

Requirements > The right candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Advanced Medical Billing Experience
• Knowledge of multiple insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Excellent documentation and written communication skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work learn quickly and work independently
• Home office space to work with limited interruptions

Preferred Candidates > the following are preferred qualifications but not required:

• Third-party billing experience
• Billing certification
• Behavioral health experience
• Knowledge of provider credentialing
• Knowledge of behavioral health coding
• Practice management experience
