The Sleep MD

The Sleep MD is focused on bringing a high quality home sleep testing service that allows every bedroom to become your sleep center. The patient will receive a cutting edge sleep diagnostic device that will wear for 2-3 nights to assess your sleep.

These devices are capable of monitoring breathing, position changes, sleep stages, and sleep quality.
With this information we are able to identify and prescribe the appropriate therapy for common sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, restless legs, and insomnia all across the US.

About the Role:

The Billing Medical Specialist will be responsible for working closely with the Office Manager and billing department to provide updates on customer VoB and billing statuses. You will work with several departments to create an incredible customer experience with collection of past due invoices and incoming billing inquiries. You will proactively work with your manager and clients to properly maintain invoicing.
This role requires you to work cross functionally to solve questions and support our customers on a daily basis. Billing is directly responsible for the collection efforts that drive The Sleep MD revenue targets while delivering an incredible customer experience.

A typical day will include:

• Process the Verification of Benefits for patients.
• Proactivtly resolve any issue related to missing information or follow up with the different insurance companies.
• Actively monitoring aging reports for past due customers and sending messaging when necessary
• Daily collections calls to customers
• Answering incoming billing related questions
• Gathering the required information to help resolve any client inquiries efficiently
• Managing client expectations regarding estimated response time for issue resolution
• Collaborating with team members to manage and escalate client inquiry
