About This Opportunity: Carl Albert Community Mental Health Center (CACMHC) is looking for a Psychiatric Medical Director to:

  • Provide leadership, quality assurance, oversight and overall medical management of the facility.
  • Plan and organize medical and clinical practices; provide direct patient care and assist other departments with direct interactions with physicians or medical staff
  • Defines protocols and assists in decision making pertaining to the medical care of patients that is consistent with current medical practice and applicable policies and procedures
  • Serves as a liaison between the medical staff, other facility staff and facility and department leadership

Job Type/Salary:

  • Posting Open/Closing Dates – 04/01/2023 - 04/30/2023
  • Full-time position
  • Base Salary range from $200,000 to $250,000
  • Total compensation range is $248,862 - $316,400 depending on experience, board certification status and specialties. Includes allowance for insurance benefits!
  • Contract options available!

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy by the State of Oklahoma and be Board Eligible or Certified.

About this Facility: Carl Albert Community Mental Health Center (CACMHC) – a state operated facility of the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Service (DMHSAS) - located in McAlester, Oklahoma is a fully accredited 15-bed psychiatric hospital and outpatient clinic. Other CACMHC offices located in Southeastern Oklahoma are—Holdenville Satellite, Heavener Satellite, Hugo Satellite, Idabel Satellite, Stigler Satellite, Atoka Satellite and Ada.
