Follow up on outstanding or rejected insurance claims with the insurance providers as well as coordinate with medical records to gather any additional information that the insurance carriers require to process the insurance claim.

Job Duties

• Follow-up on all outstanding insurance claims, which include correspondence, denials and rebills
• Understanding of insurance explanation of benefits and other insurance correspondence
• Make necessary arrangements for medical records requests, additional information request, etc. to be sent to appropriate location based on client/insurance instructions
• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Possesses excellent verbal communication skills
• Able to talk on the phone while documenting notes in the system
• Able to multi-task
• Strong attention to detail
• Medical insurance background
• Familiar with insurance follow up procedures
• Knowledge and understanding of HIPPA and compliance
• Able to type at least 35 wpm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
