Medical Lab Technologist
Job description
Full Time position. Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 (possibly 8:00-4:30)
Testing/ Sample Analysis Performs tests and sample analysis in the areas of clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, molecular and urinalysis.
Specimen Processing Collects, processes and handles blood and/or other biological specimens according to established procedures.
Equipment/Instrument Maintenance Calibrates, standardizes and maintains test equipment and instruments following established procedures.
Quality Control Performs quality control to ensure proper functioning of instruments, reagents and procedures.
Test Result Maintenance Validates, calculates and tabulates results of tests performed, posts findings to log books and quality control records and makes reports of observations.
Clinitek Training Trains employees in the operation of Clinitek Machine (urinalysis); ability to troubleshoot Clinitek malfunctions.
Adheres to Standard Precautions Adheres to standard precautions, aseptic technique and infection control while performing laboratory tests and sample analyses.
Data Collaboration Coordinates with medical and professional staff in the dispersion and interpretation of data.
Requirements:MLT (Medical Lab Technologist) Associate Degree minimum. ASCP certified. Previous Lab experience required.
