Medical Receptionist
Job description
We are looking for a medical receptionist/office manager for a new psychiatry practice in Port Jefferson Station. At least two years of experience is necessary. We always maintain a positive culture at our facilities, and ensure everyone is compensated properly for the work they put in. We are offering signing bonuses in some cases as well!!
Job Responsibilities:
1. Entering patients data into the necessary systems.
2. Checking in patients and ensuring they're needs are met while being seen in the office.
3. Verifying insurane benefits.
4. Handling prior authorizations when necessary.
5. Answering phones and texts to the office.
Job Skills Needed:
1. String customer service skills.
2. Two years of experience working in a medical office.
3. Independent, self-starter. The ideal candidate can handle the responsibilities of a receptionist/office administrator for an office with at least one provider at any given time.
4. Responsible & reliable.
As the practice is growing, we need a receptionist/office administrator who can handle these responsibilities on their own without a supervisor in the office at all times. Currently we are seeing patients in office 3 days per week. The off days are used to enter/schedule/handle any patient needs. The days patients are seen in office, you will be responsible for checking in the patients, answering the phones, etc.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All patients are required to wear a mask while in the facility. Staff must wear a mask when in the presence on patients. The office is sanitized on a regular basis.
