POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager must be able to manage large multi-faceted projects or multiple projects at the same time. The project manager organizes teams, develops plans, and facilitates project execution to achieve organizational goals. Successful project managers pay attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, raise issues and risks with transparency, are self-motivated, enjoy working closely with others, and are well organized.
This position works closely with the Medicare Quality & Stars Program Director supporting an end- to end execution of the Program strategy, tactics, and best practices driving results to improve or maintaining a minimum of 4+ overall Star Ratings for each Capital’s contract.
The role will include coordination, execution and oversight of initiatives, project coordination, etc. Additionally, this individual will be working closely with multiple departments across the organization and business partners (vendors) coordinating project activities and completing the appropriate follow ups to assure effectiveness, timeliness, execution, completion, and the desired results.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Provide effective organization and support to the end-to-end Stars strategy, execution, by securing acceptance of deliverables from appropriate leads.
- Collaborates with the Stars team and business partners to ensure Program compliance and improve overall performance. Manage the development, implementation, and execution of initiatives that address low-performance measures.
- Implement projects with a sense of urgency and due diligence regarding “on time and on budget”.
- Evaluate potential project roadblocks, risks and develop solutions and driving improvement by working with teams to ensure timely and effective interventions.
- Plan, manage, track, follow up, communicate project goals, schedule, deliverables, materials, progress, etc.
- Support in the monitoring process of Stars measures and work with business owners to ensure goals are achieved. Drive innovative initiative that address low-performing measures.
- Coordinate and assist in the development of educational materials and educational activities related to the Stars Program for internal staff, providers and office staff, etc.
- Coordinate engagement activities with provider offices, hospital facilities, and vendors in support of Star Program through multiple channels, including phone, email, and/or in-person.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
- 3+ years of healthcare industry work experience (Medicare Advantage is a plus).
- 2+ years of Star Rating Program, Project Management, or Quality work experience.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams strongly desired. 2 years’ experience leading initiatives requiring change management leadership desired.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Proven success on building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Ability to influence and persuade people to collaborate and execute toward a common goal.
- Strong organization and documentation, attention to details, time management meeting deadlines, even under pressure.
- Adaptability to an agile and dynamic work environment.
- Ability to prioritized tasks and shift readily between “big picture” and small-but-critical details. Demonstrated ability to balance people, process, and technology factors and analyze complex business relationships to develop appropriate solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), Project Management tools, Teams/WebEx/ZOOM.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and see.
- The employee must be able to work over 40 hours per week.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.
