Rocky Mountain Truck Centers is seeking an Experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic for our Tye, TX location. This is a dedicated Shop service and repair position, with an on-call rotation schedule. We have 2 shifts available, Days 7am - 3:30pm and Evenings 2:30pm - 11pm.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot engine and on-highway truck malfunctions and failures
• Performs work accurately and with no come backs
• Prepare and complete all related inspection forms for tractors and trailers
• Promote additional work, parts and services for Service Writers to put forward to customers
• Use safe working practices and follow all company safety requirements
• Willingness to learn new technologies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with Service Writers, Shop Managers, and Breakdown Coordinators, to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repair are understood and followed up on
• There is an On-call rotation required with this position which will entail working in field/roadside conditions, out of a service truck, without the support functions of a service shop

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Experience Required:

• 2+ years of experience in Diesel engine or system repair.

Licenses & Other Requirements:

• Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position
• Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform repairs

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
