The Boeing Company is currently seeking a MQ-25 Vehicle Management System Software Engineers to join the MQ-25 Software Systems group located in Hazelwood, MO. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization

Join the MQ-25 Vehicle Management Software engineering team to help provide new capabilities to the Navy. Positions include embedded software requirements development, design, documentation, coding and testing for a new autonomous unmanned aircraft.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems

• Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system

• Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

• Supports software project management and software supplier management functions

• Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics

• Performs software research and trade studies

• Troubleshoots software issues

• Works under general supervision

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will have the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, performing work weekly onsite and remotely. Please note that the hybrid work schedule is subject to program/business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1+ years of Real-time embedded software development experience

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Desired Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience):

• Prior Vehicle Management System software experience preferred

• DO-178, MIL-STD-882E, or similar software safety experience preferred

• Ada programming

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
