Job Summary/Purpose: Under limited supervision, the BMT Quality Data Analyst manages and oversees the reporting and analysis of complex clinical data for the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Registry (CIBMTR). This role collaborates with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and the CIBMTR global scientific community to advance hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) and cellular therapy research. This position interprets and extracts a variety of clinical data used in creating reports and tables for the advancement of HCT research. This data must meet strict reporting standards and deadlines.
Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Data Management, Healthcare Statistics or Nursing and 2 years of experience in clinical/research or hospital setting, Data management or nursing required. Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) certification and/or Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) certification preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and auditing a plus. Experience in a clinical/research or hospital setting a plus. Ability to travel to annual Data Management conferences. Must be able to exercise significant independent judgment and discretion using confidential data and medical records. Must be a self-starter and able to function under broad guidelines with judgment under the direct supervision of the program administrator. Must maintain a cooperative and positive attitude.
