THE POSITION: National Showroom Operations Manager

As the National Showroom Operations Manager, you will work with our world-class Design Consultant team, as well as with senior leadership and cross-functional departments, to ensure that our network of 100+ showrooms are staffed and scheduled effectively and efficiently in order to provide a seamless and elevated customer experience. You will also partner closely with the SVP and VP of sales on key initiatives and updates, as well as with the Showroom Construction and Facilities team on showroom projects and maintenance.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for establishing, maintaining and reviewing showroom schedules:
    • Ensure coverage by showroom/market
    • Approve PTO requests (call-outs, attendance issues, emergencies)
    • Manage LOA coverage
    • Establish Showroom hours including holiday closures
    • Prepare and report on coverage audits on a weekly and monthly basis
    • Manage and communicate weather-related closures
    • Partner with Regional Trainers on macro coverage strategy
  • Key liaison between Showroom Operations, Fulfillment and Sales Departments
    • Assist with communication and confirmation regarding showroom updates
    • Oversee Area of Responsibility DC Program
    • Maintain showroom brand standards guide
    • Ensure compliance with monthly showroom audits and video requests
    • Follow up on operational punch lists for new showrooms post-turnover
    • Partner with fulfillment on showroom swatch and collateral needs
  • Main point of contact for communication between departments
    • Gather, organize and create presentation for the weekly national sales meeting
    • Compose weekly bulletin for distribution to sales team
    • Draft and send emails to Design Consultants on misc topics
    • Draft policies as needed with HR support


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with significant operations experience for retail stores/showrooms
  • Minimum of five years of work experience in retail environments
  • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work with internal departments to achieve desired results
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong PC skills
  • Broad and deep understanding of retail operations, with significant experience in a complex, fast-moving and multi-faceted environment
  • Self-motivated, energetic, detail-minded with excellent analytical and people skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving, planning and technical skills
  • Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to develop and drive improvement initiatives
  • Experience with establishing processes and procedures
  • Must have the ability to manage through change
