Role :- Cloud Network Engineer

Location:- Remote (EST/CST)

Job Description:-

The focus of this position is to help the client migrate to the AWS cloud. The consultant will need to be on call, one day per month.

• AWS Network Engineer that has passion to implement network and security technologies for a data center migration including technologies like VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Virtual Private Gateways, ALBs and AWS WAF
• Troubleshooting issues with networking and related AWS services like EFS, FSx, and VMWare
• Implement new standards for core business infrastructure including networking services, and servers for the migration from the legacy data center into a new AWS environment.
• Provide documentation on Initial configuration of systems and troubleshooting of processes to all members of IT team for the migration
• Ensure network, system and data availability and integrity through preventative maintenance and upgrades with minimum downtime.
• Work with team to integrate VmWare on AWS network configuration for optimal design and best practices

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds our Cloud networking environment by reviewing system configuration; directing and/or undertaking system configuration; defining, documenting, and enforcing best practice standards for AWS Network design
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring infrastructure performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; supporting upgrades; collaborating with 3rd party support resources and fellow IT engineers on network optimization.
• Secures network system by communicating policies, defining access practices through default AWS capabilities or with our Palo Alto or VMWare environments
• Evaluates and provides expertise on all data circuits across the enterprise; analyzes bandwidth requirements and capacity planning for a migration to AWS
• Oversee updates/patches for network devices, software, and network security.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials and essential knowledge of cloud migrations to AWS
