We're looking for a full-time Nurse Manager to join the medical team at our youth residential campus in Flourtown, PA!


Carson Valley Children's Aid
residential campus provides safe, structured care for adolescents with a history of trauma and behavioral challenges. We help youth to develop skills that will allow for positive reintegration into their families and communities.

Vaccination Requirements:

Role Type:
Full-time, salaried


Work Schedule:
Typically daytime hours, Monday through Friday. This position includes on-call responsibilities to address emergencies.


Work Setting:
Adolescent residential campus in Flourtown, PA


Essential Job Functions:

  • Directly supervise nursing team members in the provision of healthcare services.
  • Ensure that nurses conduct health screenings, schedule physical exams, and schedule other appointments for residents within established timelines.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with team members to facilitate necessary ongoing medical and dental treatment.
  • With nursing team members, perform first aid and medical treatment for residents whose injuries or symptoms do not require a physician's attention.
  • With nursing team members, perform first aid in emergency situations.
  • Maintain first aid supplies in designated areas.
  • Arrange transportation and accompaniment to offsite appointments for each resident.
  • Coordinate all planned medical hospitalizations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and psychiatrists to promote continuity of care.
  • Maintain effective and compliant medication administration procedures.
  • Ensure that medical charts include all required documentation.
  • Supervise care for residents who are medically unable to participate in the regular program.
  • In conjunction with Director of Campus Life, develop and manage medical services budget.
  • Develop administrative systems that ensure proper reimbursement for services provided.
  • Collaborate with residential treatment teams during treatment reviews and special meetings.


Role Requirements:

  • Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
  • Bachelor's degree or above (required)
  • 5+ years of experience supervising employees in an inpatient or residential setting serving children and families (required)
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle, and car insurance (required)
