Job description
Hiring Department
- Graduate/Research Secretary: graduate applications, forms, and GPPC Secretary, work with Associate Chair for Research and Coordinator for Graduate Track Pathway Program
- Computer Science Enrollment Management and Admissions
- Graduate Admissions and Funding Calculations
- Process eForms and assignments for student employment
- Process student tuition and fee waivers
- Liaison with departments across campus including the fiscal manager regarding monthly account reconciliations and other fiscal duties
- Office assignments and space committee member
- Coordinate speaker arrangements with assistance from other office staff
- Edit OneCard and assist in editing faculty cards, as needed
- Advancement/Development Initiatives
- Maintain department’s capital equipment records and work with Physical Facilities on equipment tagging
- Assist OSA III: create and maintain department publications, arrange travel for candidate interviews & faculty, serve as backup for Minerbytes
- Execute department events with office staff (including annual banquets, advising week events, holiday events, graduation events, etc.)
- Assist OSA IV: process Non-PO Vouchers for students and visitors, conducting computer science surveys, serve as backup for faculty travel and expense reimbursements and ordering for department and faculty
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
