As our enthusiastic and hardworking OPERATIONS MANAGER, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Working with the Warehouse Supervisors to ensure that quality control is maintained for all goods sorted and the maximum amount of quality goods are available.
  • Ensuring daily production goals are met by flexing staff where needed and monitoring and auditing production throughout the day.
  • Ensuring the Transportation and Dispatch functions are operating efficiently, and according to established standards, each day.
  • Supervising and control the workload of assigned personnel.
  • Maintaining daily attendance and schedule staff vacation.
  • Planning, implementing, and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the warehouse functions to ensure established procedures for shipping, transportation/dispatch, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness are met or exceeded.
  • Monitoring and complete all computer-based and manual reports and related paperwork, including time records, daily logs, and damage reports, etc.
  • Ensuring high customer and donor experience across all fulfillment activities, utilizing feedback loop from Retail, Marketing and other depts.
  • Ensuring the merchandise pricing conforms to establishing pricing policies.
  • Other written or verbal duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications to be considered for this position:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Supervisory experience, including establishing and keeping production schedule
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills required
  • Familiarity with standard shipping/receiving and warehousing procedures

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work with a minimum of supervision, adaptable and able to handle confidential matters
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills required

Schedule

Work schedules are determined by Management and employee must be flexible to always ensure adequate coverage. Full-time employees may be scheduled to work any full-time shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Salvation Army will comply with all governmental orders and any contractual obligations relative to COVID-19 safety measures, including mandatory vaccination of staff, if required.
