Enterprise Role Overview:

Provides technical and analytical support in a global markets operations function for one or more operations product areas. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May manage projects and/or the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes, coordinating necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and/or products. As a technical expert, may also function as an informal team lead, providing work direction and technical guidance to less experienced employees in resolving complex transactions and operational problems. Requires extensive experience in an operations support function with thorough working knowledge of fundamental business structure and operational aspects for specific transactions and products. As a technical expert, will consult on a wide variety of topics across functional and business support lines.

LOB Specific Description:

Global Collateral Operations (GCO) provides controlled and cost effective post trade processes across the business we support. GCO also ensures global consistency of processes while providing strong global and local supervision.

This role will directly support the US OTC Margin Management function and requires knowledge of non-cleared OTC collateral operations or middle office operations. The primary responsibility of the position is to provide comprehensive support of day-to-day margin call processes for the Americas while ensuring appropriate risk mitigation controls are followed. In addition, the ideal candidate may support ancillary initiative work geared toward developing and implementing innovative service solutions to meet clients’ needs globally. Developing and using the latest technology, teams work to deliver industry-leading capabilities to our clients and customers, making it easy and convenient to do business with the firm.

Deliveries and Responsibilities:

  • Support margin call issuance and associated cash and security settlement workflow
  • Managing client inquiries, meetings, operating issues should they arise
  • Managing operating escalations as needed
  • Providing stakeholder engagement involving Audit and Regulatory related matters associated with the collateral function
  • Supporting internal communications such as:
  • Providing updates to Operations Risk partners
  • Ensuring key team members are engaged in resolutions
  • Metrics and Control reporting
  • Coordinate and provide updates/commentary for monthly MIS to senior management
  • Supporting exception management with regard to systems reconciliation and margin-call settlements as well and representing exception remediation status to senior manager
  • Identify areas for improvement on client metrics or business metrics
  • Business as usual managerial support and back-up

Required Skills:

  • Experience in one or more of the following: Financial markets across Fixed Income and Derivative products, Financial markets documentation (ISDA CSA, GMRA, MRA, etc.), Data mining and analysis skills; proficient in Tableau and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Organizational skills with emphasis on the ability to prioritize responsibilities
  • Track record of working in detail oriented roles
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
