The office of Residential Life and Housing at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) invites applications for a Desk Attendant (Institution Security Officer I). This person will monitor the front desk/entry way of Hoosac Hall to ensure the safety and security of the residents and building. This person will greet and assist residents and guests, while enforcing MCLA visitor policy; monitor the Hoosac Harbor area; and report incidents according to established protocol.

DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor Hoosac Hall entry way and Hoosac Harbor.
Sign in visitors
Enforce Residence Area policies
Assist with orderly evacuation in the event of emergency
Report incidents according to established protocol
Ensure that the entry way remains free of obstruction

Additional Information:
The shift for this position is Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 p.m to 6:00 a.m.

This is a temporary, full-time, benefit-eligible, (Grade 8, Step 1) position in the AFSCME bargaining unit. Biweekly salary is $1,372.19. This position will run through May 13, 2023.
