Job Summary:

The Special Education Paraprofessional works with students receiving special education support.

Responsibilities:

• Support for special needs students.
• Lunch supervision.
• Access to support.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven organization and time management skills
• The ability to provide positive guidance to students in a manner that communicates dignity and respect.
• The ability to explain curriculum expectations following directive from the teacher.
• The ability to work professionally with staff, students, and other providers.
• Basic understanding of technology
• Dependable attendance

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to sit, stand, bend, and walk frequently.
• Must be able assist students with physical needs, lifting with assistance may be required.
