Private pathology lab includes data entry positions for specimen processing. The data entry positions require specific computer/data entry skills and thorough knowledge of medical terminology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

• Must have the ability to work independently with the current data entry accessioning staff in a busy setting
• Daily handle of enclosed chemicals, human tissue and fluid
• Daily data entry of various accession types
• Troubleshoot and resolve data entry/requisition/specimen bottle issues
• Respond to phone calls, emails and other requests
• Perform data entry QC to ensure accuracy
• Identify any discrepancies or incomplete information not provided on the requisition or bottle and placing the case on the problem log for further follow-up and resolution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Position requires the ability to provide accurate data entry with little or no errors

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal to no errors
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize with high attention to detail
• Must work well in a group setting as well as independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor and good communication skills
• Typing experience is required
• Medical terminology is extremely helpful

Hours: 12:30 pm – 9 pm - schedule may vary based on training, workload and staffing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
