Retina & Vitreous of Texas is looking for a Patient Registration Specialist to join our team full time. Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.

Duties of the position include: opening and closing the office, greeting patients, ensuring patient demographic information is accurate, check-in and discharge, collecting co-pays and patient balances, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with insurance verification functions.

Travel to all office locations is required. Office locations include but are not limited to Katy, TX, Pearland, TX, Victoria, TX, Lufkin, TX.

The successful candidate will possess the following requirements:

• Prior medical reception employment is preferred but not essential
• Some billing knowledge
• Extreme attention to detail
• Self motivation and flexibility
• Positive team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work early morning to evening hours
• Ability to travel to satellite offices
• A graduate of an accredited medical program is desirable.
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Patient Registration: 1 year (Preferred)
