Pediatric Health Care Alliance is one the most respected pediatric medical groups in the country, comprised of more than 50 board certified pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners who have dedicated their careers to providing the best medical care for your children. The Alliance currently offers 14 neighborhood locations throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties.

We are currently looking for an experienced Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our team who enjoys working with children and providing quality care to them and their families.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assisting patients via telephone and in person.
• Referrals.
• Answering telephones, screening calls, taking messages and providing information.
• Maintaining files with referral slips, authorizations and insurance slips.
• Greeting patients and their family members, checking patients in and out.
• Verifying insurance eligibility, scheduling appointments and ensuring patient demographics are current.
• Triaging patients when needed, collecting co-payments and other clerical duties as needed.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior medical office experience required, preferably in pediatrics
• Clear understanding of medical terminology. Familiarity with insurance preferred
• Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows
• Strong customer service skills and positive attitude
