Job Summary: The Patient Transporter ensures the safe and timely transportation of clients to and from the NeuroRehab Clinic for rehabilitation appointments.

The Patient Transporter is expected to:

  • Maintain a clean vehicle.
  • Safely assist clients in and out of the vehicle.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance.
  • Comply with state, federal, and local laws and safety regulations; comply with agency policies and respect the confidentiality of customers and persons served.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing group-oriented goals and providing support and information to other employees and managers as needed.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and to follow directions.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to engage in physical activity including standing, walking, descending stairs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work between the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm.
  • Successful completion of a background check that meets Agency standards.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and insurance that meets Agency standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience transporting clients/patients.
  • CPR Certification
  • Defensive Driving
