Titan Solar Power is currently seeking an experienced and driven Payroll Manager to join our team.
Summary:
The Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organizations payroll and benefits functions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
Responsibilities:
Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Supervise and train a team of payroll specialists.
Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, pay increases) and system upgrades.
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Complete regular audits to ensure accuracy of payroll records; facilitates internal and external audits.
Resolve issues and answer payroll related questions, ensuring high levels of customer service.
Directly manage, develop, and lead a team of high-performing payroll specialists to assist with payroll needs.
Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Manage the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
Ensure accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRIS system and create payroll file deductions for insurance carriers and vendors to have accurate eligibility information.
Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors.
Audit and process benefits regarding payroll deductions, enrollment/coverage issue escalation and resolution and ensure all information is accurate in the HRIS system.
Manage Open Enrollment preparation, planning, communication materials, and testing of benefits portal to ensure accuracy, host in person or virtual events.
Serve as the primary HRIS benefits administrator, including the setup of new benefit plans and resolving any vendor integration file issues or updated benefit offerings.
Maintain and update pay software with current job descriptions, skill sets, and other pertinent information to have updated pay ranges for each position- update pay scales for hiring management annually or semiannually based on business needs.
Conduct ongoing research and keep abreast with new trends and best practices, support with career fairs and educate management on benefit offerings, compensation, and performance evaluation matrix. .
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
3-5+ years of payroll experience; Paycom experience a plus
2+ years of benefits administration
2 + years of experience in payroll leadership.
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and multi-state payroll taxes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with payroll software.
Alternate sitting or standing at will
Crouching or bending
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
