Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a small but growing pediatric practice in the Northern Virginia area. There will be an opportunity to both work with experienced pediatricians and to work independently. Clinical experience in primary care pediatrics is a must as responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and treating medical conditions and illnesses
• Giving treatments for acute and infectious diseases
• Prescribing medications
• Practicing preventative medicine and promoting healthy habits
• Educating patients and parents

Qualifications include having a confident attitude, an excellent bedside manner, good communication skills, and a team spirit. The ability to speak Spanish is a bonus.

Requirements include:

• A valid Nurse Practitioner License
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Experience with information technology, electronic medical records, and culturally diverse populations
• Unrestricted DEA and ability to prescribe

Work locations: Two offices, one in Gainesville, VA, and a second in Warrenton, VA. Expectations will be to spend time at both locations.

Hours: Approximately 36 – 40 hours per week with a partial Saturday every 4-5 weeks. Overnight call one time per week and one weekend every 4-5 weeks.

Salary: 90 to 105k/year based on experience
